Public consultations on the draft law on environmental payments and taxes 🌿 were organized by the Ministry of Environment in a hybrid format 💻🏛️.
The event brought together representatives of economic operators 🏢, business associations 🤝, and civil society 🌍, who shared their views, comments, and proposals regarding the new regulatory framework 📄.
The draft law предусматриes the revision of existing environmental taxes, including those related to air emissions 🌫️, water discharges 💧, waste disposal ♻️, the use of natural resources 🌱, and pollution-generating products. At the same time, it introduces new instruments such as a carbon tax 🌍, a tax on single-use plastic products 🧴, and penalties for failing to meet collection and recycling targets 📊.
FIA Moldova was represented by Ana Groza, Executive Director 👩💼, together with representatives of member companies, who actively contributed to the discussions 🗣️ by providing comments and recommendations aimed at ensuring a predictable, fair, and business-aligned regulatory framework ⚖️.
