The event “Mercosur, the EU and the impact on trade with the Republic of Moldova” was organized by EBA Moldova, in partnership with EY Moldova.
In the context of recent developments in trade relations between Mercosur and the European Union, the event aimed to provide participants with a clear overview of the potential effects on the Republic of Moldova’s trade, as well as the practical implications for importers, exporters, and operators involved in regional supply chains.
The agenda also included relevant topics such as the rules of origin of goods in the EU/Romania–Republic of Moldova relationship, the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the Common Transit Convention (NCTS), the use of the TRACES system, and the facilities available for AEO operators.
FIA Moldova was represented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager, alongside representatives of member companies. Their participation highlighted the importance of a practical and early dialogue between the business community, authorities, and experts in order to anticipate developments and understand the impact on the business environment in the Republic of Moldova.
