The 114th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC 2026) took place this week in Geneva.
In this context, Ana Groza – Executive Director of the Foreign Investors Association of Moldova (FIA) and President of the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova (CNPM) – presented the position of employers from the Republic of Moldova during the debate dedicated to the Director-General’s report of the International Labour Organization on the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work. 🤖
In her speech, Ana Groza emphasized that for employers, future competitiveness is not about choosing between people and technology. Enterprises need both a well-trained workforce 👩💼👨🔧 and increased investments in artificial intelligence, automation, and digitalization 💻 in order to respond to economic challenges and labor market transformations.
In the context of labor shortages, demographic changes, and the need to increase productivity 📈, three key priorities were highlighted:
1️⃣ investing in people and skills 🎓 to support the development and application of AI technologies across the economy;
2️⃣ supporting enterprises 🏢 by ensuring access to digital infrastructure, financing, knowledge, and practical support for adopting AI technologies;
3️⃣ strengthening social dialogue 🤝, which is not only a labor market instrument but also an essential component of the country’s modernization and European integration process 🇪🇺.
Participation in the International Labour Conference reaffirms FIA’s commitment to actively represent the interests of its members in the international dialogue on the future of work, economic competitiveness, and sustainable development. 🌍
