Regular informal meetings to ensure open communication with authorities and identify priorities for joint collaboration.
Today, FIA members met with Iordanca-Rodica IORDANOV, Minister of Environment, Grigore STRATULAT and Petru TATARU, Secretaries of State. A number of topics of interest were discussed, including:
✅️ The provisions of Law 1540/1998 on payment for environmental pollution, as well as incentives for companies to align with the EPR system;
✅️ Amendments to Law 209/2016 on waste, in particular the introduction of the deposit system for packaging;
✅️Deficiențele enforcement of HG 950/2013 “for the approval of the Regulation on the requirements for the collection, treatment and discharge of wastewater”;
✅️ EU Border Carbon Mechanism;
✅️ Measures to promote and support the implementation of “transition to green economy” projects.
FIA members appreciated the Minister’s openness and expressed their hope for continued good cooperation in the future.
