On February 2, 2018, members of the Foreign Investors Association met for a business breakfast with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Pavel Filip. During the meeting, several issues, that require Government attention and involvement were addressed, such as: labor market liberalization, agricultural land consolidation and irrigation, the mechanism of price formation for medicines, avoidance of the informal payments in health, recent amendments of the Law no. 231/2010 on the internal trade, telecommunication companies challenges, the issuance of work and residence permits, etc.
According to Mr. Pavel Filip, the main prioritto finalize the elaboration of the new Labor Code, in order to stimulate investments and to create jobs. At the same time, it should be finalized the amending of the legislation on sanctioning system, as to eliminate the abuses of the law enforcement bodies towards the business environment.
