Workshop "Exploring the Shadow Economy: Engaging Stakeholders for Actionable Solutions"

On November 18, 2024, the Foreign Investors Association in Moldova (FIA) participated in the online workshop “Exploring the Shadow Economy: Engaging Stakeholders for Actionable Solutions”.

The workshop is a part of the project “Mapping the shadow economy: A systematic review of shadow economy measurement methods and policy measures in Europe, with a focus on the Baltic states, Georgia, Moldova, Cyprus, and Malta” led by Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania and funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) through the Research Commissioning Centre (RCC), led by 3ie and the University of Birmingham.

In this context, the workshop aimed to present the preliminary findings of the systematic review of shadow economy policy measures in Moldova and Georgia, but also explore effective and practical solutions for addressing shadow economy in both countries.

FIA Moldova was reprezented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager.
