A technical working meeting was held with the Ministry of Health at the initiative of the business associations – the Foreign Investors Association in Moldova (FIA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova (AmCham).
The discussions took place in the context of the new Government Decision, which entered into force in March this year and establishes the procedures related to the granting of sick leave.
The purpose of the meeting was to examine the new amendments to the Instruction on the certification of temporary incapacity for work, as well as the conditions and procedures for issuing medical leave certificates, approved by Government Decision No. 667/2025. The meeting also aimed to highlight the practical challenges encountered by the business community — from both employers’ and employees’ perspectives — in the process of issuing sick leave certificates.
Through such meetings, business associations reaffirm their commitment to supporting an open and constructive dialogue with public authorities, contributing to the improvement of the regulatory framework, and promoting solutions that are practical, transparent, and aligned with the needs of both the private sector and society as a whole.
FIA Moldova was represented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager, together with representatives of member companies.
