Round Table on the opportunity for EESC establishment in Moldova

Today, September 9, 2024, the representatives of the Association of Foreign Investors from the Republic of Moldova (FIA) participated in the Round Table dedicated to discussions on the opportunity to create the Economic and Social Committee in the Republic of Moldova, an event that brought together various representatives of high-level public authorities, decision-makers, the donor community, civil society organizations, opinion leaders and media.

The purpose of the event was to discuss the opportunity to establish the Economic and Social Committee (CES) in the Republic of Moldova, its role and attributions and the potential impact on ensuring an authentic and participatory democracy in the context of the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union. At the same time, Romania’s experience regarding the organization and operation of the CES was presented during the event.

The event was organized within the “Civil Society for European Integration” project, financed by the European Union and co-financed by the “Friedrich Ebert” Foundation, which is implemented by the Expert-Group Independent Analytical Center, as the main partner, in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), AO Institutum Virtutes Civilis (IVC) and the “Friedrich Ebert” Foundation.
