On 6th of September, the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment held a meeting on ”strengthening institutional capacities and knowledge on the application of the principle of the Extended Producer Responsibility”. The goal of the meeting was to present the new legal framework and launch the dialogue between the stakeholders with a view to establishing the mechanism for implementing the extended producer responsibility principle, focusing on its institutional, legal and financial implications.
The meeting included presentations on the Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulation, the packaging and packaging waste draft regulation, followed by question and answer session.
