Start: Thursday 30 April, 2026 -

Ana Groza – Executive Director of FIA – participated as a speaker at the National Forum on the Labor Market and Social Dialogue in the Republic of Moldova, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, in partnership with the Independent Analytical Center “Expert-Grup.”

The aim of the forum was to analyze recent developments in the labor market of the Republic of Moldova and to outline policy directions for the upcoming period, particularly in the context of developing the National Employment Program for 2027–2031 and the European integration process 🇪🇺.

During the panel “How can we promote the formalization of employment and improve job quality through social dialogue,” the FIA Executive Director emphasized that, from the business community’s perspective:

“Formalizing employment is no longer just about labor legislation; it is about investment, a prosperous economy, and competitiveness. Formalization does not simply mean having a contract or taxation. It means that behind every contract there is an employee with guarantees and decent working conditions, a family with confidence in the future, as well as an investor who decides to invest in the short or long term. An economy with a high level of formalization can attract sustainable long-term investments, and the formalization of labor is no longer just a social obligation—it becomes an economic strategy.”

FIA will continue to promote constructive dialogue between the business community and authorities, supporting policies that contribute to the development of a modern, competitive, and sustainable labor market in the Republic of Moldova.
