Meeting with the Prime-Minister Valeriu Streleț

Yesterday, September 10th 2015, members of Foreign Investors Association had a meeting with the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Valeriu Streleț.

In frame of this meeting, the Prime-Minister mentioned that although Moldova is going through a difficult period, the Government is determined to find solutions to accomplish provisions of the Plan of Activity. ”We have an ambitious program through which we plan to achieve important results and improvements. Government will perform its duties regardless of the current situation”, said Valeriu Streleț.

In their turn, foreign investors have talked about the main problems they are facing in their fields of activity.Thus, they noted that most of the obstacles are historical and requires urgent government involvement. At the same time, members of the association said that companies, they represent, will continue to work and to contribute to the development of Moldova. “We are convinced that Moldova could attract more investment if the government will be more open to investors,” said President of the Association, Ridha Tekaia.

As a conclusion, the Prime-Minister Valeriu Streleţ reiterated its readiness to provide support to foreign investors. Together with representatives of the association, it was agreed to set up an agenda of discussions, in order to identify appropriate solutions for each individual case.
