FIA Executive Director, Ms Ana Groza, as a member of the Permanent Bureau of the National Confederation of Moldovan Employers – CNPM, participated in discussions with the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Mr Gilbert F. Houngbo, who was on a working visit in Chisinau, on 17 February.
Mr Houngbo was accompanied by Mr Heinz Koller, Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Mr Markus Pilgrim, Director for Central and Eastern Europe, Ms Raquel González, Secretary General of the Workers’ Group, Ms Ala Lipciu, ILO Country Coordinator for Moldova.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the activity of the CNPM Executive Board and its members, the effectiveness of the dialogue with the social partners, the challenges facing the business community in the context of multiple crises, recent initiatives to amend labour legislation, and solutions to overcome acute problems caused by labour shortages.
