The Foreign Investors Association (FIA) participated in the meeting of Working Group No. 4 on the regulation of work on digital platforms, held within the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
During the discussions, the draft law was analyzed that will transpose the provisions of Directive (EU) 2024/2831 into national legislation, with the objective of establishing a modern legal framework for the activity carried out through digital platforms.
The initiative aims to ensure clear and balanced rules for all parties involved, by strengthening the protection of workers, increasing transparency in the use of algorithmic systems and promoting predictable working conditions in the digital economy.
FIA welcomes the continuation of the dialogue between the authorities and the business environment and reaffirms its willingness to contribute with the expertise of its members to the development of a regulatory framework aligned with European standards, which would support both innovation and the development of the digital economy, as well as a competitive and predictable investment climate.
