On October 8, 2024, the meeting of Working Group no. 5 “Increasing the Competitiveness of the Republic of Moldova in the context of EU accession” was held, chaired by Dan Nutiu, the Executive President of the Association of Investors from Romania in the Republic of Moldova.
The meeting was attended by the members of the working group, representatives of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, but also by Mrs. Cristina Gherasimov, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration.
During the discussion, Mrs. Gherasimov presented the current stage of the negotiation process and outlined the next steps in order to strengthen the European path of the Republic of Moldova. The plans regarding the transposition of European legislation, which will have a significant impact on the national economic framework, were also discussed, as well as the importance of collaboration between the authorities and the business environment in order to adapt the national economy to European standards and regulations.
