The meeting of the Working Group No. 4 ,,Reducing informal work and the ,,wages in envelopes” phenomenon” was held on the platform of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of RM on 28 July.
According to the Agenda, the following topics were discussed:
✅Presentation of the Study 📑”Deficiencies of the public procurement system. Abnormally low bids in works procurement procedures”, prepared by dr. eng. Vadim Turcan.
✅ Corina Ajder, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova reported on the efforts and progress made in the field of combating undeclared and under-declared work, through the development of the Automated Wage Subsidy Mechanism (MASCS) and the reform of the State Labour Inspectorate.
FIA was represented at the meeting by Cristina Tiscul, Project Manager, who proposed to revise the MASCS so that large companies, which have always paid wages officially and are not eligible for compensation according to the current wording of the concept, could also benefit from it.
