On 29 July, an ordinary meeting of the National Commission for Consultation and Collective Bargaining (CNCNC) was held, chaired by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Mr Marcel Spatari.
During the meeting, several topics of interest in the labour and social-economic fields were discussed and two important documents were signed, which will strengthen the social partnership at national level and the trilateral communication between Government – Trade Unions – Employers.
One of the topics on the Agenda, outlined by Cristina Tiscul, FIA Project Manager, was the increase of the ceilings provided by the legislation for employee’s food, as follows:
✅increasing the maximum amount allowed for deduction of expenses for organised meals from 45 lei (excluding VAT) to 75 lei (excluding VAT) per employee, for each day actually worked;
✅increasing the nominal amount deductible for tax purposes of a meal ticket for one working day (within the limit of 100 lei), which is currently between 35 and 55 lei.
