The meeting organized by the Moldova Energy Security Project (MESA) funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), with the participation of the business community involved in the development of renewable energy projects was held on 3 August.
The purpose of the meeting was to collect 📑opinions and evaluate experiences that developers of renewable energy generation projects ☘️ face in the project permitting process.
The MESA project supports the Moldovan Government’s efforts to strengthen and diversify the country’s energy sector, enhancing long-term energy security. MESA will be implemented in close cooperation and coordination with the Government of the Republic of Moldova, with the aim of:
📍 improving the physical and market integration of the Republic of Moldova’s energy system with Europe,
📍 increasing the integration of renewable energy and increasing resilience to climate change, and
📍 attracting investment in domestic power generation and energy efficiency.
