Joint Civil Society Dialogue Forum

On October 17th, FIA representatives participated to the EU-Moldova Joint Civil Society Dialogue Forum where was discussed and debated the latest evolution regarding the implementation of the Trade and Sustainable Development chapter within the DCFTA between the EU and the Republic of Moldova.

The purpose of the event was to expose and discuss the independent vision of civil society representatives on the implementation of the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union on Trade and Sustainable Development (the DCFTA component of the Association Agreement).

The event presented the findings on the impact of trade liberalization with the European Union on Moldova’s trade performance as well as the developments and constraints on the business climate, such as: labor legislation, justice reforms, environment protection and sustainable develpment; opportunities and challenges for the civil society involvement in monitoring of the implementation of the TSD chapter.

Also at the meeting were elaborated and discussed the Statement of the Third Meeting of the Joint Civil Society Dialogue Forum of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union on Trade and Sustainable Development.
