Interministerial Working Group Meeting on Green Economy and ESG

The first meeting of 2026 of the interministerial Working Group dedicated to promoting the green economy, circular economy, social development, environmental protection, and governance took place.

๐Ÿ’ฌ The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to review the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in advancing the green transition ๐ŸŒ, as well as to discuss ways to more effectively measure and monitor these developments.

๐Ÿ“Š During the session, participants discussed:
๐Ÿ”น green growth indicators
๐Ÿ”น the selection of indicators for reporting
๐Ÿ”น the results of a qualitative study on knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to ESG in the Republic of Moldova, developed by UNDP and the EU ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

โ„น๏ธ ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) is a modern approach to evaluating a companyโ€™s performance, complementing traditional financial indicators with aspects related to environmental impact ๐ŸŒฟ, social responsibility ๐Ÿค, and corporate governance ๐Ÿข.

๐Ÿข FIA Moldova, an active promoter of the practical benefits of ESG implementation in the private sector, was represented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager.
