FIA Moldova, together with the Association’s experts, participated in the Conference “Guarantee system – deposit” – Romania’s experience, organized by PriaEvents. The debates were attended by the Minister of Environment, Water and Forests, Mr. Barna Tanczos, representatives of beverage producers, beer producers, representatives of large commercial networks, and other important actors. Romania envisages that by March 2022 it will be among the countries that implement the guarantee-return system (SGR).
The guarantee-return system is applied in over 40 states and involves several actors at national level. This requires clear regulation of the rights and obligations of each party, so as to ensure a positive environmental impact, cost-effectiveness and security of the system. The guarantee-return system is the full implementation of the Extended Producer Responsibility, the application of which is also welcome in the Republic of Moldova.
