
Today, the Foreign Investors Association (FIA) organized a new Business Breakfast, featuring Mr. Dorin Junghietu, Minister of Energy, as the guest speaker.
The event brought together FIA members for an open discussion on the perspectives and challenges in the energy sector.
The discussions focused on recent developments in the electricity and natural gas markets, plans for transitioning to sustainable energy sources 🌱, the stability of energy infrastructure 🏗, and government initiatives to support the business environment 🏢.
During the Q&A session, moderated by Ana Groza, Executive Director of FIA, members addressed key topics such as:
– the resilience of the energy system during the cold season ❄️;
– regulated tariffs and price forecasts 📊;
– promoting green energy and accelerating the transition to a sustainable system♻️;
– the development of the natural gas market 🔥;
– integration of emerging technologies (storage, smart grids) 💡;
– prospects for cross-border PPAs 🌍 and more.
The importance of aligning national energy policies with European standards was also highlighted, in the context of the European integration process and the strengthening of regional energy security.
