Business Breakfast: Mr. Octavian Armasu

On February 15, members of the Foreign Investors Association (FIA) met for a business breakfast with Mr. Octavian Armasu, Minister of Finance.

Discussions focused predominantly on the long term budget-fiscal Policy, the draft of the New Customs Code, the possibility of private pension funds creation, the provisions of the Law on meal tickets, the problems faced by telecommunication operators, the recent amendments to Law no. 1540/1998 on payment for environmental pollution, avoidance of the informal payments in health, the mechanism of price formation for local medicines, and other subjects that require the authorities’ attention to improve the investment climate in the Republic of Moldova.

FIA members, present at the event, appreciated Mr. Armasu’s initiatives, as well as the openness to the business environment referring to solving entrepreneurs’ problems.
