Business Breakfast with Mr. Andrian Candu

Members of Foreign Investors Association (FIA) met for a „Business Breakfast” with the Speaker of the Parliament, Andrian Candu.

FIA Chairman, Alexander Koss, welcomed the improvement of the investment climate and the openess of the authorities for discussion and exchange of opinions with the business community. He declared that the Association would continue to get involved and work with the authorities to create a friendly environment for investors.

At the same time, Andrian Candu said that the authorities remain consistent in promoting measures to improve the business environment. According to the Speaker, one of the objectives of pro-business government is to create favorable conditions for a prosperous market economy, which will lead to higher living standards.

During the meeting, various topics were discussed, including demonopolization of oncology services, amendments to the internal trade Law, 2,5% “luxury” tax paid by mobile operators to the Republican and local Fund for Social Support of the Population. It was also discussed about the provisions of the Law on waste, impediments related to the land Law and Water Law, as well as the proposal to create a private pension system.

FIA members thanked the Speaker of the Parliament for the interactive and open dialogue, expressing their hope for the operative solution of the issues mentioned at the meeting.

In his turn, Andrian Candu thanked the members of the Association for cooperation with the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.
