On 10 May, the technical meeting for discussing the draft law to facilitate e-commerce was attended by representatives of business associations. The document was prepared by the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of Moldova, with the support of development partners, in the context of implementing the Roadmap for digitizing the economy.
Thus, the authors of the initiative have developed a series of legislative amendments, which aim to eliminate the constraints identified for e-commerce in the Republic of Moldova, namely:
✅ Updating the legislation on internal trade and amending it with the necessary provisions on electronic commerce;
✅ Updating national legislation on information society services, including online commerce;
✅ Development of the internal legal framework regarding the courier services market and the day laborers’ regime in the courier activity;
✅ Interaction with tax authorities online (filing returns, electronic applications, information submitted to authorities, certificates, copies, etc.)
