The twelfth meeting of the Civil Society Platform European Union – Republic of Moldova, where discussions were held on the implementation of the 9 recommendations of the European Commission for the opening of EU accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova was held on September 1.
FIA was represented by Ana Groza, as a member of the National Confederation of Employers of Moldova.
The achievements of the Republic of Moldova on each of the nine recommendations were also analyzed and evaluated, with an appreciation of the progress made, while stressing the importance of combining the efforts of all stakeholders in order to fulfil the commitments in the field of justice and the fight against corruption, as well as to advance the implementation of all chapters of the Association Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova.
In this context, it is to be emphasized that 1 September, this year, marks 9 years since the beginning of the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement.
The EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform was created on the basis of Article 442 of the Association Agreement and is composed of representatives of EU civil society, including members of the European Economic and Social Committee, and representatives of civil society from the Republic of Moldova and provides a forum for meeting and exchanging views on issues related to the implementation of the Association Agreement, development challenges of the Republic of Moldova, etc.
