“Breast Cancer Screening for Female Healthcare Professionals” Project | Medpark Foundation

The Medpark Foundation has launched the second edition of the “Breast Cancer Screening for Female Healthcare Professionals” project.

This initiative is part of the “Care for Colleagues” program and reflects the Medpark Foundation’s commitment to supporting the health and well-being of women working in Moldova’s healthcare system. Through this project, female healthcare professionals — doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, and healthcare assistants aged between 40 and 70 — can benefit from a free comprehensive breast cancer screening package aimed at early detection of breast cancer.

The screening package includes:
• consultation with a breast specialist oncologist;
• digital mammography of both breasts;
• follow-up consultation with the breast specialist oncologist, if recommended;
• recommendations on breast health and preventive measures.

Early detection can make a life-changing difference. Due to limited time or numerous daily responsibilities, many women postpone preventive medical examinations. However, timely screening significantly increases the chances of effective treatment and complete recovery.
