It is the largest dairy products group in the world, and is the second largest food products group in France, behind Danone. It owns brands such as Sorrento, Société, Bridel, Président, Rachel’s Organicand Valmont.
Lactalis Group in Moldova represents company “Lactalis Alba Ltd”, which imports elite French cheeses (Brie, Camembert, Roquefort), Dolce desserts, cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream and butter. In Moldova, it is represented by ‘’Fabrica de Brînzeturi din Soroca’’, specialized in producing cheeses, milk and sour cream, kefir, butter and yoghurt drinks (Yoli).
Since 2004, in ‘’Fabrica de Brinzeturi din Soroca’’ were invested around 24 millions EUR. After modernization, the plant has an ultra modern equipment, which allows manufacturing and packaging products under high standards. Currently, at plant from Soroca there are employed 220 persons.
