The Foreign Investors Association of Moldova (FIA), represented by Ana Groza, Executive Director, participated in a workshop dedicated to the transposition of European Union legislation in the field of waste management, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment.
The event brought together representatives of public authorities and the business community, providing an additional platform for dialogue and consultation on the new legislative provisions, their implications for the private sector, and the conditions required for effective and predictable implementation.
The discussions focused on several key aspects:
🔹 Clarifying the main provisions of the draft legislation and the requirements arising from alignment with the EU acquis;
🔹 Identifying practical challenges that companies may face during implementation;
🔹 Assessing the impact of the new obligations on business operations and compliance requirements;
🔹 Gathering feedback and proposals from the business community to improve the regulatory framework.
FIA supports a transparent and inclusive policymaking process in which the experience and expertise of the private sector contribute to the development of clear, consistent, and practically applicable regulations.
🎯 Ongoing dialogue between public authorities and the business community is essential to the effective transposition of EU legislation, strengthening environmental responsibility, and ensuring a predictable regulatory framework that supports business competitiveness and the sustainable development of the Republic of Moldova.
