Representatives of companies that are members of the Foreign Investors Association (FIA Moldova) participated in a meeting of Working Group No. 10 of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, dedicated to the implementation of standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in the operation of tourist and agrotourism guesthouses.
The discussions focused on the challenges faced by operators of small rural accommodation facilities in complying with food safety requirements and control procedures, as well as on identifying clear, proportionate, and practically applicable solutions.
For FIA, it is important that legitimate safety and compliance objectives be accompanied by clear, predictable, and proportionate regulations that reflect the size and risk profile of operators, while avoiding unjustified administrative burdens.
The participation of FIA members in these consultations contributes to direct dialogue between the business community and public authorities and to identifying solutions that ensure compliance with standards while supporting the sustainable development of the rural tourism sector.
FIA will continue to contribute the expertise of its members to consultation processes and to the improvement of the regulatory framework for the business environment in the Republic of Moldova.
