Today, the Foreign Investors Association of Moldova (FIA) participated in the training session “Sustainable Development for SMEs: Identifying Opportunities and Seizing Potential”, organized under the auspices of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.

The session was delivered by Vladislav Naumov, Business Banking Consultant at Sparkasse Osnabrück, who shared his practical experience in using ESG criteria as a strategic management tool to identify early warning signs, anticipate business challenges, and manage risks proactively.

The training covered four key areas:

🔹 ESG as a driver of business growth and value creation;

🔹 Risk identification and leveraging competitive advantage;

🔹 ESG assessment and practical implementation;

🔹 Group analysis of two case studies to apply the knowledge gained to real-world business situations.

Through its participation in capacity-building initiatives and the exchange of best practices, FIA supports the integration of ESG principles into companies’ business strategies and practices, promoting a modern, responsible, and resilient business environment where sustainability is an integral part of strategic decision-making and long-term business performance.

FIA was represented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager.
