On 1 November, the plenary meeting of the members of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, took place.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting were deregulation of entrepreneurial activity and removal of bureaucratic barriers, digitisation of public services and other measures to support the business environment.
A number of major problems facing business were also raised, the most pressing of which remains the lack of labour.
In this context, Ana Groza, Executive Director of FIA, reiterated the need to adjust the legislation by regulating the concept of temporary agency work, which would alleviate the pressure in this segment. Also, the standardisation of the minimum wage for Moldovan and foreign citizens working in our country is an imperative in the current conditions.
