The launch event of the MIA Instant Payment System, developed by the National Bank of Moldova in partnership with the USAID Institutional and Structural Reforms in Moldova Moldova PRO Reforms Program.
This innovative payments infrastructure project is designed to modernize and facilitate payments in Moldovan lei within the country between consumers, companies and public institutions through banking and non-banking institutions.
The system is available in financial institutions across the country and allows consumers and companies to transfer money in less than 15 seconds without paying any fees and regardless of the bank just by phone number, providing citizens with a fast, secure and efficient method of making transactions.
