✅️ On June 13, 2024, a technical meeting was convened to discuss the changes that will take place on the natural gas market. The event, organized at the initiative of FIA Moldova, brought together experts from member companies and representatives of the Ministry of Energy, led by the State Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Constantin Borosan, EBRD, and the National Agency for Energy Regulation.
💡 The meeting focused on the provisions of Directive 2009/73/EC, which requires the complete liberalization of the natural gas market. Starting January 1, 2025, all large companies will be required to purchase natural gas exclusively from the open market at negotiated prices.
📌 The main conclusions of the meeting were the following:
🔹 Understanding the implications of the new regulations,
🔹 Strategies for purchasing natural gas from the free market,
🔹 Support and guidance from relevant authorities to navigate this transition and others.
