FIA Moldova and CNPM: Promoting a Better Understanding of GDPR Requirements!
The Foreign Investors Association of Moldova (FIA), as a member of the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova (CNPM), participated in the practical seminar “New Rules on Personal Data Protection (GDPR): From Documentation to Practice” organized by CNPM. 🤝
Data protection goes beyond policies and paperwork. It involves the responsible handling of employees’, customers’ and partners’ personal data, as well as companies’ ability to respond promptly to inspections, data subject requests and security incidents.
Key topics discussed during the seminar included:
🔹 Assessing compliance with GDPR requirements;
🔹 Procedures during inspections conducted by the supervisory authority;
🔹 Handling data subject requests;
🔹 Measures to be taken in the event of a data breach.
The exchange of experience highlighted the importance of providing clear answers to businesses’ practical questions: What actions need to be taken, what deadlines apply, and who is responsible within the company?
