The roundtable titled “The Role of National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights in Promoting Human Rights Due Diligence and Preventing Labor Exploitation in Supply Chains in the Republic of Moldova” was held under the auspices of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, the OSCE Office of the Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, as well as the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR), in partnership with the Office of the Ombudsperson. 🤝
The event brought together representatives of public authorities, the business community, trade unions, civil society, international organizations, as well as national and international experts to discuss the need for a coherent framework on corporate responsibility in respecting human rights and preventing labor exploitation. 🌍
It is important to note that respect for human rights, labor protection, and corporate social responsibility are becoming essential elements for sustainable economic development and the European integration path of the Republic of Moldova.
