The Foreign Investors Association in Moldova, represented by Ana Groza – FIA Executive Director and AFAM Board Member, participated in the Roundtable “Road to the EU: Dialogue for a Prepared Economy”, realized with the support of GLIA, in partnership with AFAM.
The event focused on preparing SMEs for European integration, leveraging opportunities offered by the EU market, and drawing relevant lessons from Romania’s EU accession experience.
The discussions brought together representatives of public institutions, the business community, civil society, and international experts from the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
Key topics included opportunities, challenges, and the necessary steps to better prepare Moldova’s business environment for integration into the European Single Market.
Adopting best practices from an EU member state that has already gone through the accession process represents a valuable opportunity for the Republic of Moldova. This should be fully leveraged to avoid challenges faced by other countries, accelerate reforms, and strengthen the readiness of the business sector for integration into the European Single Market.
