Yesterday, October 15, 2024, the Executive Management of the Association of Foreign Investors in Moldova (FIA) participated in the Round Table “Women in Export – Creating Pathways to Global Markets”, organized by UN Women Moldova.
During the event, the results of a recent analysis carried out by Gateway&Partners Moldova, at the initiative of UN Women Moldova, regarding the economic empowerment of women in the field of export were presented and discussed. The analysis aimed at assessing the current situation and the challenges faced by female entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova in the process of organizing and developing export activities.
Thus, access to finance, lack of training and mentoring programs specific to women in the field of international trade, harmful social norms, policy and regulatory challenges, lack of disaggregated data are just some of the challenges faced by women in trade and export.
The event served as a platform for dialogue between key players in the field, who will address effective strategies and relevant mechanisms to support and facilitate the export of products and services generated by women-led companies.
