Friday 15 December, 2023
Start: Tuesday 12 December, 2023 - 10.00

Together with our members, we work to ensure that companies have the best possible regulatory framework conditions and that they have the right tools and competences to implement a green☘️ and fair transition in practice.
FIA Executive Team and Vladislav Caminschi, Executive Director of the National Confederation of Employers from Moldova (Confederaţia Naţională a Patronatului din RM – CNPM), participated at the Regional meeting of employers’ organizations from Azerbaijan, Denmark, Georgia, Moldova, Türkiye and Ukraine, organized by the Confederation of Danish Industry and New Democracy Fund in Istanbul on 12 and 13 December.
The main purpose of the meeting was sharing of knowledge, expertise and good practices among the participant countries on the economy’s green transition, especially through the ESG implementation and reporting perspective. In this regard, FIA executive direction made a presentation 💻 and shared its members’ best practices, case studies, challenges, and opportunities.
Also, a special attention was dedicated to the important provisions of CBAM (EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism), that will have a consistent economic impact on the exporters to EU.
Along with theoretical and practical examples, we had the pleasure to visit Arçelik factory,

a Turkish multinational household appliances manufacturer
and to attend a tour of MEXT Tech Center – Virtual Factory.
Therefore, in the context of the yesterday historic moment when the European Council decided to open accession negotiations with Moldova and Ukraine and to grant the EU candidate status to Georgia, implementation of the ESG reporting is a matter of short time to become mandatory for the named countries, participants to the Regional meeting mentioned above.
