Public consultations on Chapter 2 – “Free Movement of Workers” and Chapter 19 – “Social Policy and Employment” were held under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova.
🤝 The event brought together representatives of public authorities, the business community, civil society, and development partners to assess progress, challenges, and the measures needed to fulfil the commitments undertaken.
🔹 Chapter 2 focuses on facilitating citizens’ access to the European labour market and protecting workers’ social rights.
🔹 Chapter 19 covers reforms related to wage guarantee schemes in the event of employer insolvency, the regulation of platform work, pay transparency, equal pay, and improvements in occupational health and safety.
🔹 An important topic of the consultations was the update of the National Programme for the Accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union for 2025–2029.
🌍 The involvement of all partners contributes to identifying priorities and the measures needed to advance the European integration process.
