The Foreign Investors Association of Moldova (FIA) participated in PowerUP Moldova Energy Forum 2.0, held as part of Moldova Business Week 2026.
The forum brought together representatives of public authorities, investors, financial institutions, and industry leaders to discuss the next stage in the transformation of the Republic of Moldova’s energy sector.
Key topics included:
• investment opportunities in energy generation and storage;
• development of energy infrastructure;
• strengthening energy security and regional interconnections;
• energy market liberalisation;
• access to financing for the development of new generation capacities.
During the panel “Developing Moldova’s Energy Market: Organised Markets, Electricity Generation and Storage”, FIA Moldova members active in the energy sector contributed to discussions on creating the market conditions and financing mechanisms needed to support competitive, flexible, and bankable investments in the energy sector.
FIA’s participation in the event reflects the Association’s commitment to fostering continuous dialogue between the business community, public authorities, and energy sector stakeholders, with the aim of developing a competitive, resilient energy sector, well integrated into the European energy market.
