“Non-judicial mechanisms for remedying solicitation, bribery and corruption”, as part of the OECD Business Integrity Roundtable, which is being organised within the Working Group on Bribery’s Global Relations Strategy was held today.
In particular, panelists discussed the OECD National Contact Points, anti-corruption Ombudsmen offices, and High-Level Reporting Mechanisms as potential avenues for redress.
The event brought perspectives from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria and Ukraine, explores trends and good practices in the region, the role of ombudsman offices, as well as future activities, including ongoing monitoring by the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN) and a joint ACN/EBRD capacity-building project in the region.
