Representatives of the business sector discussed with the Minister of Energy, Victor Parlicov, the provisions of the Commission for Exceptional Situations of 31 May, according to which companies must express, by 1 July, their choice for one of the gas markets – free or regulated.
According to Moldovagaz data, in the recent months, 86 companies have chosen to change their gas supplier by migrating from the supplier of last choice, which has a tariff regulated by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), to suppliers on the free market. 54 companies have two contracts each, being simultaneously in both markets. Through the 📄CSE decision, the Government has stepped in to stop this migration and make some changes to the regulatory framework.
The meeting was organised by the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, on 16 June.
