FIA Moldova Participates in Meeting with the IMF Mission on Tax Administration Reform

The Foreign Investors Association (FIA) in Moldova, together with other business associations, including the European Business Association (EBA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova (AmCham), participated in a meeting with representatives of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) Mission on Tax Administration Reform.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress on tax administration reforms in Moldova and discuss ongoing efforts to support the State Tax Service (STS) in implementing tax policy changes, preparing for the introduction of automated VAT refunds, and advancing other key reform initiatives.

Discussions focused on the progress achieved to date, implementation priorities, and the importance of effective tax administration in ensuring transparency, predictability, and a business-friendly environment in Moldova.

FIA Moldova was represented at the meeting by Ilona Panurco, Tax, Legal & People Lead | Manager Legal Services at PwC Moldova, who contributed the perspective of the business community on matters related to taxation and tax administration.

FIA Moldova welcomes the continued dialogue between the IMF, the State Tax Service, and the business community. Such exchanges are essential to ensuring that tax administration reforms are implemented effectively, address practical business needs, and contribute to a more transparent, efficient, and predictable fiscal environment in Moldova!
