FIA & ILO: Towards More Effective and Predictable Labour Inspection!
Today, the Foreign Investors Association in Moldova (FIA) participated in a meeting with representatives of the International Labour Organization (ILO), organized on the platform of the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova (CNPM).
📌 The discussions focused on improving the regulatory framework and increasing the efficiency of the labour inspection system, including from the perspective of ILO Conventions No. 81 and No. 129.
👩💼 FIA, represented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager, presented the perspective of its member companies and the business community’s recommendations regarding the effectiveness of inspections and the role of the State Labour Inspectorate.
💡 FIA emphasized the need for a balanced approach between control, prevention, information and enforcement, with a focus on guiding employers and facilitating compliance, particularly in cases of non-compliance that do not result from bad faith.
🎯 An effective labour inspection system means not only identifying violations, but also preventing their recurrence.
