FIA and its representatives participated on 28th of December, at a new meeting with the representatives of the Bureau for Migration and Asylum, following a meeting on 19th of December with the representatives of the same institution and the World Bank.
Up to date, the WG identified over 30 amendments to the law 180 on work migration and law 200 on foreigners’ regime.
The next discussions in small format will continue with the Agency for Labor Occupation and the Ministry of Economy, in January 2017.
FIA also had several discussions with the representatives of the World Bank/IFC Investment Climate Reform Project (ICR) linked to their involvement in the working permits for foreigners’ reform.
The discussion were also followed by a conference call with the team’s office in Vienna on 9th of December.
The ICR Project will join the work done within the WG on Investments on the working permits reform and will draft a list of professions/skills underrepresented on Moldovan labor market for which a “fast track” mechanism for obtaining the working permits will be drafted.
