Meeting in the Parliamentary Committee for environment & regional development on amendments to the Pollution Tax Law

On 12^th  and 13th of December 2017, FIA executive director and some members participated in the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for environment and regional development, focused on discussing the draft law amending the Law 1540/1998 on pollution taxes, in particular referring to taxes applied to products that pollute the environment and to the taxes applied to packaging.

FIA reiterated and presented its official letter on this issue in order to eliminate the current uncertainties related to the application of the pollution taxes affecting both, the interest of importers and local producers, and to comply with the commitments of RM under WTO agreements and AA/DCFTA.
