The meeting of Working Group No. 6 “Labour Market Development” was held on the platform of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
👥 The meeting brought together representatives of the State Labour Inspectorate and the National Employment Agency, as well as representatives of the business community, public institutions and civil society.
💬 The discussions focused on several key issues currently shaping the labour market:
– Labour shortages and the need to develop professional skills;
– Youth integration into the labour market;
– Aligning available skills with employers’ needs and requirements;
– Facilitating labour market access for persons with disabilities;
– Combating undeclared work and the practice of “envelope wages”;
– Improving inspection mechanisms and the quality of labour market statistics.
