The meeting of Working Group No. 6 “Labor Market Development” took place on the platform of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, with the participation of representatives of the Government, the business community, and public institutions.
During the meeting, several important topics related to the development of the labor market were discussed:
🔹 challenges faced by companies in the process of hiring foreign workers;
🔹 measures to improve efficiency and simplify procedures for obtaining temporary residence permits for foreign workers;
🔹 planned amendments to the regulatory framework on the regime of foreigners and their impact on admission, residence, and employment procedures;
🔹 how initiatives aimed at facilitating the import of labor can be aligned with national security objectives and social cohesion;
🔹 the priorities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection for the labor market in 2026. 📊
FIA Moldova was represented by Inga Pascal – Project Manager, together with representatives of the member companies, who presented the perspective of foreign investors regarding the need for such a mechanism, the sectors facing acute labor shortages, as well as the practical challenges companies encounter in the process of importing labor.
In addition, recommendations aligned with the FIA White Book 2025 were put forward, aimed at contributing to the acceleration of economic growth in the Republic of Moldova in the coming years, from the perspective of labor market development. 📈 #FIAMoldova#ConsEcon#MDED#MMPS
