Meeting of Working Group 8 “Consultative Council for the Digitalization of the Economy – iCouncil”, dedicated to Chapter 10 – “Information Society and Media”, was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova, on the platform of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
In the context of advancing the European integration agenda, the meeting aimed to present the progress achieved and the priorities for alignment with the EU acquis in key areas such as: electronic communications, digital services, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

– 78% of business-related public services are digitalized
– accession to “Roam Like at Home”
– the ICT sector contributes approximately 8% to GDP
🔄 Ongoing efforts:
– implementation of the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet)
– development of digital infrastructure
– alignment of national legislation with European digital policies
