A new meeting of the WG for Women’s Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality within the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova took place on 26 April.
According to the Agenda📜, the topic of facilitating the VAT refund procedure on the import of production machinery for economic agents who are not VAT payers was discussed, with a focus on small and micro enterprises, most of which are not VAT payers and are managed by women. The aim is boosting imports and the use of modern quality technologies in production processes.
At the same time, the meeting also noted the lack of a law regulating the economic activities of crafts and handicrafts, as well as domestic producers, who are mostly women in rural areas and represent an untapped economic potential.
